Necromayra the Dim Reaper alt ver by Claudija Necromayra the Dim Reaper alt ver by Claudija
Necromayra just got her new job: The Grim Reaper but well.... she's not a clue what the whole 'reaping' part is about and when in a new job you know it's going to suck for a few weeks until you just... get... it... right -chuckles-

why thank you Ace. For being one of my earlier works she's stood the test really well being that she's one of my first attempts at the coloring style now characteristic of my stuffs hehehe. In my stories, Necromayra is a white rabbit with parts of her skeleton showing through. Despite her nature though, she's a practical joker so carried it through here despite remaking her as an Arctic fox

this version of her has none of that hehe. The bunny is described in my story for my friend as:-

"The bunny had a strange, almost dream-like laugh. He could now just see the lines of her skeleton in her thigh and the impression of her skull against the soft white fur on her left side."

and from my pre-production notes:-

"
The mistress of death has ultimate command of our destinies for no matter how we reach her, eventually she takes us in her arms. Her powers of Darkness and Death, grant her command over the spirit world and thus she is the one who commands and created Heaven and Hell. Najirasha and Shalaya were her children for she transcends all beings. Najirasha however: removed herself from the wheel when she became immortal amongst immortals.... Unlike the traditional Grim Reaper, Necromayra actually has a sense of humor and has timeless beauty even though her right side shows the bones underneath through her pale white skin and fur."

Necromayra is very beautiful and always has a Jessica Rabbit look to her: if she were snow white colored, a real bunny and had luscious long cream-colored hair. When drawing her though, I decided to see how she'd look as an arctic fox instead

the notes are her main overall character and look hehe. Creating her happened almost instantly. I was RP'ng on a fur forum called Heat of the Night and Luciana is drawn into the realm of the dead. The original Necromayra appeared in "Luciana: Timetraveller" when the fox must pass all elemental trials. To a witch, there are five elements: the usual four plus Spirit and thus Necromayra, being Death: represents the fifth element.

When I conceived her, I didn't want to make her the usual sombre or silent Death most use. I was inspired by Terry Pratchett's Mort: Death's assistant who takes over when his master goes for a vacation. It's hilarious and Necromayra thus became a more comical character. She can be very coldly serious but usually the Governess is a more playful and fun character as opposed to her more traditional counterpart.

She's fun to write due to her silliness and so when drawing her I thought, bunnies are always used lets try a fox. Originally to be her assistant I found Necro herself wouldn't pass up the opportunity for a good laugh and made it her. Creating her? If you mean completely from Timetraveller to her latest incarnation (the top unbold sample comes from my friend's request: Sled's Journey to the Other Side and is her latest appearance) then she's been around for about 7 years, if you mean just the artwork: about a week with all the original sketching, deciding image... inking and painting. Though painting her took only 14 hours at most. The background was easy, lovingly provided by the linked website under her copyright info.

To give a full story of Necromayra from her lore perspective: would take up a good paragraph or two hehehe

I got where I am from lots of practice hehe. For me my writing inspiration has always been Stephen King: I love his works and really wanted to be even half the writer he is. I get that far I'll be satisfied *chuckles*. For art I always saw it as a little hobby not something to get paid for then G-Collections, Dr. Comet and Sexyfur kinda changed that view as I got paid to draw and since my depression and brief retirement from art in 2008: I've got to re-learn myself what I used to just be able to do naturally... kinda humbles you though I've never been a big-headed kinda fox hehehe.

My first 'stories' went something like this -

And the two approached the castle, it was dark inside and yet, they continued on. The first of the two drew his sword at the hint of danger, whilst the second really took a deep breath and hoped he knew enough to make it work. suddenly a ghost appeared and attacked them....

That was it hehe. I always had good descriptive essays but no real plot. Not until I started reading King and then things changed for the better now I'd write that old tale as:-

Moonlight blanketed the area as the two adventurers made they way up the lonely path to the derelict castle. The wind was biting and chilling, but as she watched her companion readying his sword: the young sorceress sighed as she felt safer with him somehow. The lobby was darkened and the odd pools of moonlight gave them both the feeling that all was not as the so-called 'Innkeeper' had described over the mugs of ale that led them here: just what -was- it that the people feared in this old ruin?

Nonetheless, they were there purely to do a job and so do it: they would. As the pair passed what she assumed to be a study, a strange sound alerted both and he brought up his shield just in time as suit of armor magically moved in front of them and swung its mace in his general direction. "Going to be.... a bit more exciting than you thought 'ey Altara?!" laughed her friend as she began to incant a spell. More exciting... perhaps she shouldn't have so eagerly taken on this quest that on appearances had been a pure blue milk run....

As you can probably tell the first is more a couple of lines but at the time I wrote it I was barely 11. The second version I started to develop from about 13 onward as I read King without mom knowing teeheeehee - around the age of 12 as she wanted to sell my father's old books thinking me too young to read them. Physically, yes: mentally, I've always been ahead of my age when it came to reading and "Claudija's Halloween" would be submitted for a school competition that, due to its rather graphic adult content - could not be permitted entry. For an idea it's a mix of 'Carrie', the original Halloween movie and a bit of my own imagination with a scene dedicated to 'Christine' in. And that's how much advancement you can look to make for the same reason. I used to challenge myself to write as long as I could then on my next story: aim to make it better and longer. This continued up until my still-unfinished novel: "Chiquitita's Requiem" - a 600+ page fantasy novel. Not really wanting to attempt writing another that big or bigger I instead stick to around 30 pages or so. It's quality not quantity hehe.
