Hi all,
Just a little update for you all. I know I've been silent for a while and I apologize but it has been a real pain in the butt. Firstly the application for a job. I signed up with the Brook Street (UK) Limited agency and my agent was very very fast in how she got me interviews. Within my first week of signing to them, she'd found me three government positions with the United Kingdom Ministry of Justice as a Court Usher. For those not too familiar, the Usher is the person who aids the judge/s and clerk by ensuring all relevant parties and witnesses are present for the cases to be heard. I was eager to try the role and got very very fortunate in that I was successful in one application for Swansea Magistrates Court in Swansea City, West Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom (so not to confuse you with the other Swansea heh).
Then it was a rough two month period of trying to find references, get myself a Criminal Records Bureau check (this makes sure all of your convictions are laid out for usually this level or higher of employment. Anything to do with vulnerable adults, children, elderly clients all in the UK are mandated/ required to have one of these to prove they are suitable for that role) and Photo ID in the form of a driving license (Provisional license meaning I can learn to drive but have not passed a required test to drive legally on my own). Most was simple enough but oh that final reference.....
This week your Vixy began her new role as Monday morning I entered Swansea Magistrates Court and began my formal induction to my role and it has been very fun. The staff I work with are all good fun and I've noticed a lot of teasing and harmless ribbing going on so I already feel I'm fitting in heh. The cases I've sat in and since Tuesday been aiding the clerks in bringing in the parties for the hearings: have been varied to say the least though you darlings must understand I cannot speak about them: it is against the Data Protection Act in the United Kingdom to do so but I'll tell you that I am enjoying myself hehehe.
This means as I'm now working the Dolly Parton job: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday... you won't see much of me around except on a Saturday unless I use that day to recover my sleep from the week previous heh. Any pending artwork is on hold too until I re-adjust to my new life and the hours I am to have for sleep and of course, being at the court before 9 am in the morning. It's a 30 minute bus journey so I hope you darlings understand heh.
I love you all and hope you all are well, please note me or pop me comments here and in the gallery if it's for an artwork already up there: I will have a look at my notes at least twice a week when I come home.
Until next time my darlings, stay safe please and best of health and fortune to you all.
Your Vixy on the Inside,
Claudija Tzandrapova xxxxxx
